6 miles of walking along the impressive sandy beaches is available but there is much more to do from Lochaill and Brora Village

Wildlife to see from Deer, Seals, Osprey

and if  you’re lucky, Dolphins.   The RSPB reserve at Forsinard is well worth a visit with marked walks through peatland and a chance to see some rare beautiful birds.

We have some lovely bars and restaurants - also some shops and other tourist attractions see Brora Visitor Guide.  Also Dornoch 20 mins away is very well served.

Walking and Cycling

We are on the LEJOG (Lands End to John O’Groats) and several other major cycle routes  but anyone can enjoy shorter cycle rides or pleasant strolls along beaches.

Castles and History

Brora is surrounded by history.  2 miles to Dunrobin Castle you can also get to  Castle of Mey north, Helmsdale is just 10 miles North for history brought to life atTimespan’.


The garden runs down to the river Brora where we fish salmon and trout, Helmsdale is also renowned for Salmon and is 12 miles away see fishing information.

Our Three Coastlines

Sutherland is surrounded by magnificent costal scenes. In addition to our own sandy beaches go North from Durness to Cape Wrath west Ullapool to Scourie (pic).
